When “shuffle up and deal” was announced at 7.10pm there were 130 official entrants. Danny Chevalier was a late entry at about 7.20pm increasing the final table number by 1. The field boasted a high class mix of numerous big names including Emad Tahtouh, Michael Guzzardi and Peter Aristidou.

The action was thick and fast with several players trading rebuys like there was no tomorrow. The likes of “carwash” George Cotaidis couldn’t take a trick on table 32, for a moment all he was likely to win for the night was a free drink. However he didn’t count on Big Jim Ververis on table 19 sitting with rebuy kings Sal Ribbera, Tuan Hoang and Jirair Ebeyan just to name a few. As the rebuy period had come to an end their table had a collective amount of rebuys reaching a grand total of 68.

The prize pool was announced shortly after the break with the top 16 players battling it out for a touch over $11,000 and guaranteed cash of $591.

The Final Table and chip counts were as follows:

1. Sarah Allan 55,000
2. Richard Smith 174,000
3. Mark Johnston 39,000
4. Tuan Hoang 31,000
5. Danny Chevalier 74,000
6. Glenn Allan 54,000
7. Alf Frommer 32,000
8. Abdullah Yalcin 61,000
9. Hassan Kamel 225,000

The final table kicked off at 2:30am and Tuan Hoang found himself all in after a few hands finishing in 9th place taking home $788. The next bust was an unusual one with husband and wife Glenn and Sarah Allen.
Sarah was eliminated in 8th taking $1,181home whilst her husband Glenn was still in the game. Alf Frommer was next to go in 7th.
Richard Smith followed in 6th place collecting $2,165. Glen Allan finished in 5th place with $2,756, Hassan Kamel took home 4th place with $3,542 and Mark Johnston in 3rd place with $4,725.
